Florence: Cinque Terre Day Trip with Optional Hiking or Pisa
Before you book
- The guide meets you in central Florence; the listing gives no address. A coach or minivan runs to La Spezia and back, and trains link the villages: Manarola with a short guided walk through the vines, Corniglia, Vernazza (on foot on the hike option, otherwise by train), Monterosso and Riomaggiore. Book onward trains from Florence for after 9:30 PM. Hotel pickup, food, drinks and tips are not included.
- The Cinque Terre National Park ticket and the train tickets are included except on the Transport Only option. The boat along the coast is not in the price: from late March to October it is paid on the day if the weather allows, and from 1 November to 31 March the train replaces it.
- The Pisa option visits Vernazza, Monterosso and Riomaggiore with the boat but no hike, then Pisa. Path closures or bad weather can change the itinerary. Wear closed shoes: sandals, flip-flops, open-toed shoes and high heels are not allowed; bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and water.
- Not suitable for children under 8, people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users. By train, direct services from Santa Maria Novella to La Spezia Centrale take 147 to 171 minutes, and Trenitalia's Cinque Terre Treno MS Card covers unlimited regional trains between Levanto and La Spezia. - The itinerary may change due to the closure of paths, bad weather, or unforeseen events
- If you would like to stay in Cinque Terre after the tour ends, or depart from Florence by train after the tour, you are welcome to bring your luggage with you
- It is recommended to book any rail travel from Florence after 9:30 PM, to allow time for any traffic delays on your return journey
- From November 1 to March 31, the boat service is not available and will be replaced with transportation by train
- In case of bad weather the boat ride will not be available. In this case, it will be replaced with transportation by train
