Florence: Guided Tour of Medici Family Secrets and Chapels
Before you book
- Meet in Piazza di Madonna degli Aldobrandini by the entrance to the Medici Chapels, where the guide holds a “Walks in Europe” sign. Arrive 15 minutes early: the entry tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes, and nobody can join once the tour has started.
- Included: the guide and pre-booked tickets to the Medici Chapels and Michelangelo's New Sacristy, about 30 minutes inside. The rest is outdoors, past San Lorenzo, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Piazza del Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, with a last stop on the Piazzale degli Uffizi. Food, drinks and transport to the start are not included.
- Michelangelo's Secret Room is not included. In 2026 the museum sells it together with Chapels entry for €32 including the booking fee, on certain weekdays only and for at most 4 people per slot.
- The tour does not run on the first Sunday of the month, a free day when the museum takes no bookings, and the Medici Chapels close on Mondays. Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside, and it does not suit people with mobility impairments or wheelchair users.
- Choose a private or a group tour when booking. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
