Florence: Street Food Tour with Wine & Local Guide
Before you book
- Meet under the obelisk in the middle of Piazza dell'Unità Italiana, where the guide holds a “Street Food Tour” sign; the walk ends in Piazza di Santa Croce about 2.5 hours later. There are morning and evening departures, and the stops change with the season.
- Only the morning tour visits the market stalls, which are open only in the mornings; the historic ground-floor market of the Mercato Centrale gives its own hours as 7:00 to 15:00 on weekdays and 7:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays. The evening tour is timed for the sunset.
- Included: the guide, several tastings of local street food and a sip of local wine; extra drinks and tips are not. Vegetarian options are possible and allergies should be given ahead, but it does not suit vegans or people with gluten intolerance.
- Since February 2025 Florence has banned voice amplifiers on guided walks and requires wireless headsets for groups of more than 8, the guide not counted. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
