Private Florence Golf Cart Tour with Piazzale Michelangelo

Before you book

• Since 15 October 2025 the Comune has banned tourist rides by golf cart, caddy and rickshaw across Florence's UNESCO area (inside the ring of avenues on the old walls, plus San Miniato), Cascine park excepted. The only exception is white electric shuttles of up to 8 passengers, run by agencies with a Comune permit on two fixed routes: they stop only at Lungarno Vespucci and Piazzale Michelangelo, board and drop passengers only at the start or end, and may not enter the core around the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vecchio.
• FPT is one of the agencies named in the Comune's 2026 permit decrees. Since 1 April 2026 the driver, or someone on board, must hold a guide or tour-leader licence; the listing includes a driver-guide. Ask where the cart drives and stops inside the city.
• Meet the driver in front of the NH Florence Hotel; the ride ends in Piazza Goldoni about 1 hour 40 minutes later. Despite “Private” in the title, it is a small group: up to 7 guests per cart, with larger parties split across carts that travel together.
• Included: the driver-guide, bottled water, a Tuscan snack (give allergies when booking) and photo stops at viewpoints; tips are not. Strollers fit, infant seats are available on request and service animals are welcome; it does not suit wheelchair users, and oversize luggage is not allowed.
• The route runs mostly outdoors, so bring sun protection or a light jacket. Cancellation, as listed: “Cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.”
